The end of season do is on the 17th May and will be held at the Gatwick Worth Hotel (a hotel that has won awards in the south), the night will consist of an award winning meal, presentation of trophies and a disco.

| 27/04/2008 - Phoenix Ladies Crowned Champions |

"Phoenix Ladies were crowned Champions of Division 2 of the Sussex County Women's League on Sunday. Representing the Sussex County League, Bob Rashbrook presented the trophy to a jubilant Phoenix Ladies captain, Becky Hamby. Playing in their first season together, Phoenix Ladies have had a tremendous year and have finished Champions ahead of some quality County League opposition including Hastings and Worthing. After a challenging start to the season when the ladies struggled to get a settled side, the team grew in strength and after getting a strong squad together never looked back losing only one league game all season. Player/Manager and leading goal scorer Charlie Arratoon was delighted "After approaching Phoenix Chairman, Daryl Gayler to take us under the Phoenix wing, we have really enjoyed our football and we appreciate the help and support the club has shown us. When we came together in August last year we were confident of doing well but never expected to win the league in our first season together. It is a tremendous achievement and reflects the hard work and effort put in by the ladies, the management team and the supporters". |
